Organic vs. regular garlands: what sets them apart?
A regular, or classic, garland repeats one same-size cluster over and over, so it looks like a neat rope or a spiral. It's symmetrical and uses fewer balloons. Organic garlands are looser and fuller and use more balloons for every foot. What is a grab-and-go balloon garland? It's a garland we build ahead, usually 5 to 8 feet long, that you pick up and hang yourself. It's the budget option for a table or a small wall. Anything much longer than 8 feet doesn't ride well in the back seat, especially on a hot day, so longer garlands are installed.

Air-filled garlands hold up for days indoors, which makes timing easy for most parties.
How long do balloon garlands last? Air-filled and inside an air-conditioned home, an organic garland stays plump for several days, and frequently a full week, before it begins to soften. On a shaded porch or patio it lasts about a day. In full summer sun, expect a few hours before the latex clouds over, fades and starts popping.
How early can a balloon garland be made? If the party is inside, building it a day or two early makes no visible difference. Most hosts book the hang for the night before or that morning. For summer parties outdoors, it goes up the same day, as near to start time as we can manage.
